The lake is frozen and covered with snow, and I am happy. I took this pictures yesterday on a walk with Lisa and Wes. Afterwards, we drank chai tea and watched a movie for the rest of the afternoon. Unfortunately, it's warm again today, and most of the snow has turned to hazardous ice. But I hear there's more snow on the way this weekend!

There was snow in the air as I was walking to campus today, and my ipod was reading my mind by playing me lots of happy music.
contented sigh ... However, I still can't get out of bed before 9:30. This whole pitch-black at 8:00 am thing really throws me.

... in Oslo, that is. I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of international travel. Especially when it involves getting from the middle of the country to someplace where they fly out of the country first. But, anyway, I'm here, and it still doesn't look like winter. See?

I heard at some ski resort in the Northeast they were doing some kind of snow dance ritual that involved burning some wooden skiis. Maybe we should try that. Although, I took these pictures yesterday, and today the air is at least nice and crisp. I've decided that having northern blood means that it's really good for me to have chill-reddened cheeks on a semi-regular basis. Helps my circulation.
