Three Cheers for Being Impulsive!

Lisa and I got a chance last Wednesday to suddenly hop a train and spend 2 days in Stockholm. So we did. I don't really have time to go into details right now (I have a presentation in Norwegian tomorrow that is hanging over my head), so this will be more of a photo story. As always, excuse my embarrassing photography skills.

Hello, pretty Stockholm!

We tried to stay on a boat ... But it wasn't there:

So we stayed on this boat instead:

And Lisa practiced her pin-up poses:

We wandered the city ... Look, there's a Viking boat!:

We went to the modern art museum:

We ate wicked good food,

and I found out that Swedish coffee is better than Norwegian coffee by a long shot ...

Overall, it was a good trip ...

Bye, pretty Stockholm!

Media craze!

I was being silly and googling my own name today ... Look what I found!

I knew my dad had called in to the local radio station to contribute to their report on the London scare, so I wasn't too surprised to find this record of my 5 minutes of Lincoln fame. But it was so strange to read this now that the events it describes are in the past by over half a year.

Speaking of the passage of time, it was about this time last year that I found out I was going to Norway at all! Consequently, this is my 100th post. I will now commemorate this moment by toasting my faithful readership with poor-quality Norwegian pilsner. Skål!
