I just have to get this one down:

Today, while waiting in line during bathroom break, Dajon says to me, "My auntie had twins yesterday."

Me: What?
Dajon: My auntie had twins!
Me: Really? That's great!

Dajon holds up two palms put together to demonstrate that there were, in fact, two babies in there, not just one. Then he breaks his hands apart and says, "But they weren't stuck together."

Me: Oh! Well, good!

beyond vagaries of the weather

nothing like rain on snow

today after school, one of the teachers was sweeping snow off her car with an old straw broom

i learned that snow falling between the metra tracks and down into the underpass is beautiful

also, I saw a vee of geese flying through big flakes of blowing snow

all in all, a good trip home
