... that some people think blogs are dumb. And are maybe surprised that I have one. And in general I would agree. Except that in the last few weeks it's come to my attention that the people who read this are people I love and miss very much. And, were I to have some mode of entry into their daily lives, however small, I would take it (and often do). So here's to the people I miss. I hope to see you in person soon.

Du kan være "corny" så ofte som du vil, Simon. Jeg er begeistret om norske samtaler våre. Særlig hvis vi egentlig snakke i framtiden. Vi trenger øvelsen begge to. Kanskje en dag skal noen svare oss på norsk og ikke engelsk!

Well I'M going to post in English, sorry, my Norwegian sucks.

I think blogs are stupid. And I have one. But I only think they're ridiculous under these circumstances:
    1)When they are inane.
    2)Rarely updated.
    3)Absolutely rambling.

However, I think they can be very useful in updating people on your life in a personal way that isn't a mass email. I use mine as an outlet for creative writing, and as a bit of a public journal. It's fun to look back over the past two years and see exactly what I was doing and thinking at times, something that I would not likely remember in such detail.
