Countdown

I'm leaving Nebraska one month from today, and then leaving Chicago for Oslo one month from Sunday. At this point, I'm definitely feeling silly for starting my little electronic travelogue five months in advance. Enough already! Let's see some fjords!

PS I ordered some new luggage that arrived yesterday. The suitcase could house a small child, which is good; however, the color I ordered, while labeled "apple green" is definitely somewhere along the lines of "lime." Oh well. It will stand out at baggage claim. (Even though there will only be about 14 other bags there. This is the Oslo airport we're talking about.)

jenna! i watched the world cup semifinal in an irish bar in cusco with a table full of norwegians. i told about my studying in norway friend. they were pretty impressed with my two word norwegian vocabulary (god tur) and then gave me lessons on pronounciation. i indicated with my eyes that i did not believe there was sufficient difference between "o" and "u" and they laughed. or for that matter that the o with the line through it was exactly necessary. good luck on all that!
