Yesterday I went to pick blueberries with Lisa.

I feel that since I have arrived here I am on task and yet so far off it. I have a lot of work to do, on many things, including that stagnant pool of unfinished poems lying around in the flooded basement of my imagination. I think I have only so much creativity to go around, and I feel that it’s being drained by the difficulty of adjusting to a new place and adjusting to the new distance between myself and people I love. I hope this changes soon. Because I have a lot of work to do.

PS As a footnote to this rather melancholy post, I'd like to add that I have some darn cute pictures of this outing. But there's a chance that the blueberries we picked yesterday will become cobbler today, so I'll hold off in hopes there will be still more cute pictures of the two of us with purple juice and crummies all over our faces.
