If you're having trouble coping with the almost-August heat, I highly recommend renting this totally off-beat Icelandic drama. My father and I watched it on a 103-degree day and agreed that it made being buried in an avalanche look pretty darn good.

PS Two weeks from tonight, I'll be on a plane to London!

PPS I also received my residence permit in the mail, so I'm totally legit.

    I know, Simon, I'm super ill-prepared. I had this grand plan to practice my Norwegian for an hour a day, and I have these two huge books my advisor recommended. I am so undisciplined when I'm at home.
